Happy Birthday Dadeeeeeee!

Today is the day my honey turned 29!!! I have thought of him all day. I really wanted his day to be special but, in our busy lives...everything has to happen one way or another...and that's Everything England! So, let me play it out for you! I just about had the worst day at work ever! I am under the weather, I have pretty much lost my voice. I am kinda tired and very grumpy. (Not really making this about me). My poor Scott has done nothing but, make it all better. He goes out of his way to please and make my dramatics less and is so comforting. What does he get in return...a little more of the drama queen that I am. Many of you are reading thinking what? You? Drama? But, only for my honey. I keep it together and he is pretty much the only one that has to deal with it. Awe! I love him for it. SO back to the day. He had to coach tonight. Bummer! I only spoke to him once today and he sounded tired. I know his days are just as long and just as demanding as mine are. He wasn't even able to come home after school. He went straight to coach. He's not even home yet and it's about 8:45! I'm not complaining b/c every other day he is home at about 4:45 and he cooks dinner almost every night. I am so thankful. I added the whole 'him cooking dinner thing' to lead you to the fact that he even put a roast and yummy potatoes and veggies in the crock pot this morning just so I wouldn't have to worry about dinner. (How's that for a run on sentence?) ANYWAY, He's God sent. Truly he is. I want to give him the world. I can't. So instead I rushed home after my CRAZY hectic day and cleaned! I cleaned the kitchen, living room and tidied up our room. The kids and I went birthday card shopping at the one and only, Dollar General! We came home with three and a box of cake mix. Nealy helped Brayden sign his after signing hers. After all the dishes and cleaning I wanted to keep the kitchen clean so I was baking and cleaning as I went. Nealy helped mix the batter and lick the bowl. I put the cake in the oven and off to give my sweet baby boy a bath! The evening has been non-stop!!!! To say the very least. I purchased Scott's gift earlier this week. I am happy that was taken care of. He asked for a sweatshirt! How modest. Well the cake is in the oven and I tried setting the timer...and Yikes! Something happend. I noticed it was not baking and that it was not turning that pretty goldenish brown color. What the....???!!! It's been about 40 minutes and it's still not done. I reset the baking degree etc. Gosh! I am so not Rachel Ray! AND baking NOR cooking is my middle name. I hope it comes out okay b/c I got some white frosting with sprinkles to add! My shoulders are burning and my eyes are a bit red. All this and so much more I would do for Scott's birthday. So if the cake doesn't turn out, it was still WELL worth my time and energy!

I love you Scott! Happy Birthday Honey!
