The City of Dreams

Vegas was a blast! We had such a fun and a very fast paced time there. We stayed at the MGM Grand. As soon as we settled into our room we gambled a bit and we went to the lion exhibit. Wow! These cats were so big. AND you could see them so close. I kept wanting to go back but, Scott urged me to see other things. We went to the Cirque du Solei that night after dinner. It was amazing! It took my breath away a few times. The performers are very talented and it was so exciting to watch. It was kinda romantic too! I liked that we could snuggle and hold hands. We weren't able to take pictures but, there was a photographer walking around and snapping shots of couples, families, and kids. After the show we purchased a memory portfolio with two different poses. That night I missed the kids terribly. I wouldn't have remembered if Scott's hadn't reminded me but, I silently cried myself to sleep. AND no. I hadn't been drinking. lol. The next day we spent the morning at the pool baking away in the Vegas heat and taking a couple of dips in the water. We saw a few babies out there. In my opinion it was way too hot. But, this made us miss our two at home. We talked about Brayden's little quarks and just different cute things he does. After the pool we took a stroll down the strip. We walked to the Mandalay Bay and went to a shark exhibit. It was neat. They had these remote controls and you could push the exhibit number and listen to information regarding the different ocean animals. We came back to our hotel and had some yummy lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. We didn't skip a beat. Right after lunch we gambled for 3 hours straight at the Roulette table. Now this was tons of fun. We came out 105 ahead of what we started with so that was GREAT! I am going to shoot straight when I say I wasn't really looking forward to gambling before the trip. I can't wait to go back to play Roulette again. Aah! It was SO much fun! We only went to our room for a few minutes to freshen up, change clothes, and off we were again to walk the strip. This time we went to the Bellaggio to watch a water show. Finally, I got to sit down. All that walking gave me pains in my shins and thighs. I would load my purse with water bottles, my camera, and purchases that even my shoulders hurt because it was so heavy. Scott ended up carrying it most of the time. I am grateful. Anyway, the water show was beautiful. I took a bunch of pictures and even a video of it. The hot temperature dropped so we weren't miserable. On our way back to the hotel we stopped at The Glacier Bar for a quick frozen drink. We saw some interesting people...girls...and we were happy we didn't bring the kids. Not to mention, when you walk the strip there tons of 'naughty' business cards on the sidewalk and street. I felt better about leaving Nealy and Brayden at home. So again, Vegas was a great time. I would recommend going if you haven't been. Make sure to take comfy shoes. I can't wait to go back!
