Early Childhood Education: acquiring sign language (guest post)

I am big on supporting something I really believe in. Especially, if it is helping children. Early Childhood Education is my area of expertise. As many of you already know, I have taught kindergarten for 12 years. Year after year I am “filling my bag” of techniques and strategies…learning how young children learn and how to teach them effectively. More importantly, I am molding and shaping young children’s learning foundation and building a love of learning Watching a child blossom as he gains knowledge through playing, direct instruction, modeling, and social interaction is so gratifying.

This a guest post from Emily Patterson. She and I have exchanged a few emails and I am pleased to say, I decided to support her efforts in providing parents, educators, and families with useful (researched based) information regarding early childhood education. Emily is currently working as a communications coordinator for Primrose Schools providing written work to the blogosphere which highlights the importance, and some of the specific aspects, of a quality, early childhood, education.

The attached article is very insightful and informative. I would encourage anyone who has young children, mommies to be, and educators to read and learn! Click on the title below to read the article.
